What are some recommendations for wardrobe for portrait sessions?

I am a firm believer in "coordinating" as opposed to perfectly matching. I also recommend thinking about sticking with more solid wardrobe without text or logos. I think colors can depend on your location. With an outdoor nature setting, earth tones can look great (browns, greens, yellows) and with an urban setting, vibrant colors can really pop (bright pinks, greens, teals). Ultimately it is about expressing yourself, wearing what you love and what makes you feel good is the most important!

What are recommendations for locations in the Richmond area?

Downtown- Shockoe Bottom, Shockoe Slip, Belle Isle, Capital Building, Church Hill

Fan- Maymont Park (photography must be scheduled with Maymont and $75 location fee paid), Monument Avenue

Forest Hill- Forest Hill Park, Pony Pasture

New Kent- Jasmine Plantation ($50 location fee)

Again, the portrait sessions are about you, what are your favorite places to go, what are your favorite activities? We can express who you are in your portraits by utilizing locations that are part of who you are!

Should I bring props to my portrait session?

Props can be a great way to again express who you are. Do you love to ride bikes? Bring them along! Do you love to picnic in the park and drink wine? Lets have a picnic! Does you little one have a favorite toy? Lets play!

How do you book a wedding date?

Your wedding date is booked when you complete and sign a contract and submit a deposit.

How much is the deposit for a wedding and when is it due?

The deposit is 40% of your total package and is due with your contract to book your date. The remaining 60% is due 30 days before your wedding date.
