A&M Events turned 5 this past month and I had the opportunity to hang out and photograph the event! Amanda Stone and Micaela Reed are the amazing duo behind A&M Events. I had the chance to talk with Amanda about how she decided to start A&M Events, what is she most proud of accomplishing in the past 5 years, and where does she see A&M Events headed in the next 5 years.
How did you start your business?
I decided exactly what I wanted to do early and never looked back. In the five years leading up to co-founding A&M Events with Micaela, I gained as much experience as I could through internships, freelance roles, and a full-time job as a project manager and producer.
How do you remain grounded during events?
When we’re executing events - whether it’s a complex conference, an intimate dinner, or a once-in-a-lifetime wedding - Micaela and I remind each other to take in the moment. It’s easy to skip celebrating your own successes when we’re orchestrating behind the scenes, ensuring these special moments are seamless for our clients. I’m especially proud bringing our fresh ideas to life and watching guests enjoy them.
What does the next 5 years look like for you?
With my first baby due in just a couple weeks, I expect my short and long-term goals to be a moving target at first. I look forward to tackling challenges, like developing new event concepts that push the envelop and growing strategically while maintaining a fulfilling work-life balance..
I am so thrilled to have worked with A&M Events and I absolutely cannot wait to meet the new baby and see all of the growth and changes to come for them!
